Description
Turbine inlet temperature sensor 886/181 measures and checks the air temperature at the turbocharger. Provides information to the control unit, using temperature and pressure to calculate air density and flow and adjust the fuelling to manage the engine performance. By managing the fuel being injected, to prevent under or over fuelling which can create higher emissions. Failing temperature sensors can cause rough running, surging while cruising or hesitation while accelerating.
